Prevention of Significant Deterioration


   Weather TermDescription / Definition
   Prevention of Significant Deterioration A program, specified in the Clean Air Act, whose goal is to prevent air quality from deteriorating significantly in areas of the country that are presently meeting the ambient air quality standards.
